Recently I moved to middle Tennessee, and I've been completely taken by the beauty of the landscape. The wide-open fields dotted with rolled hay, set against brilliant blue skies and bright white clouds feel almost cinematic. I've never considered myself a landscape painter, but ever since settling here, I can't stop photographing these farms. There's something deeply calming about the openness of the countryside, and I'm always surprised by the beauty waiting just around the next bend in the road. With this new series, I wanted to capture the serenity, life, and quiet magic of this part of the country.​​
